Are you looking for the best GoPro for vlogging and YouTube? I will help you choose one! I love DSLRs, but I believe every vlogger needs to own a GP. Let’s be honest GoPros are a hot commodity. Everyone wants one and almost every serious vlogger has one. A GP is awesome for sports, travel, food vlogging, etc.
It gets those close shots and you are able to mount it onto things for better shots. The GP is just a great all around choice. There is nothing that it really can’t do.
I know many people who vlog with GoPros and have awesome in-house videos. I strongly believe that you should buy one today used from Amazon to save money. I will guide you to the best GP for you below.
It’s very small, which is beneficial.
They are very durable.
You can hold it to record your face without people even noticing.
Great for product reviews, tutorials, and you don’t need a camera guy.
Great video quality.
Shoots higher than 1080P
It has a fixed focus lens.
The lens is wide angle.
It’s mountable onto almost anything which gives you a huge advantage. It lets you get creative.
Great for in-car shooting.
Easy to upload and editing.
It’s extremely popular.
GoPros can take photos.
I will admit that the GoPro has an exceptional amount of benefits, but one of the cons is the lack of image stabilization. I found that there are ways to get around this such as you can fix this while editing your videos. Another thing that you can do is mount it onto something or purchase a monopod selfie stick from Amazon for cheap. You can get them for around 15 bucks. Check out this monopod here.
The Hero4 Silver is more consumer friendly so if you are a beginner I would recommend this over all the GoPros. It offers users a touchscreen on the back, which is really helpful. It is very similar to a smart phone. In the past you were not able to see what you were aiming at, but with the new touchscreen you can see exactly what you are recording.
The reason that I would recommend the Hero4 Silver vs the Hero4 Black is because the video quality at 1080P is almost identical, it is cheaper, and the battery life is far better.
4K / 15fps
2.7K / 30fps
1440p / 30fps
1080p / 60fps
960p / 100fps
720p / 120fps
WVGA / 240fps
This is the #2 option for people who would like to purchase a GoPro. The Hero4 Black is targeted more for professionals. It does not offer a touchscreen on the back. It offers slightly better video quality, but I can hardly tell.
The Hero4 Black does have its place in the world of video blogging, but in my honest opinion for what I need it for and for what most people need it for it is not worth a hundred dollars more. If you don’t have the right computer or if you really don’t use 4K it’s probably not going to be the best choice for your YouTube camera for your vlog channel.
4K / 30fps
2.7K / 60fps
1440p / 80fps
1080p / 120fps
960p / 120fps
720p / 240fps
WVGA / 240fps
This GoPro is made out of plastic. This module is decent, but I strongly recommend that before purchasing this module you are better off with spending a little more money and purchasing the Hero4 Silver.
I guarantee that you will thank yourself later for the purchase. It is smaller than the other GoPros, but the other GoPros have better image quality, the Session lacks in options, and the internal battery with the Session leaves a lot to be desired.
1440p / 30fps
1080p / 60fps
960p / 60fps
720p / 100fps4
WVGA / 120fps
It is convenient, it has built-in Wi-Fi, it has built-in time lapse, it’s mountable, it looks cool to look at, it’s durable, etc. Once again taking into consideration all that the GP has to offer, if you are a vlogger I strongly believe that you should use a GoPro for YouTube.

Don’t forget: You need to buy a memory card. Check out SanDisk Extreme 64GB.
YouTube’s traffic continues to grow very quickly. Video is something that we think is going to be embedded everywhere. And it makes sense, from Google’s perspective, to be the operator of the largest site that contains all that video. Eric Schmidt
I started my YouTube channel when I was 13. At the time, I was being bullied by a few people who I used to be very close to. I felt very alone and unmotivated. After discovering the beauty community, I decided it would be a great way to express myself and use it as an outlet to be who I am. Bethany Mota
When my YouTube videos started to get really big, I was like, ‘Man, this is pretty sweet.’ It started as my hobby, and then I started traveling and learning how to play different instruments, and then it just kind of became my life. Austin Mahone
