Are you tired of yearly hosting plans? Why not pay for month to month web hosting instead? Companies like Bluehost, SiteGround, and WebHostingHub all have great hosting especially SiteGround, which is what I recommend, but the problem is that you can only pay upfront.
The advantage of paying upfront is that it will be cheaper for you in the long run, but many would like to take it slow and pay little by little, which is not a problem at all.
The advantage of paying month to month is that you can leave any time you want without losing anything and it saves you more for the moment. Below I have listed a few companies that allow you to pay monthly and also I have listed the top recommendations at the bottom to help you start your blog today.
I would like to start by recommending HostGator. I have personally used HostGator to host a lot of my websites. HostGator has a 99.99% uptime. I have never had a problem with them. Not only do they have monthly plans, but they have 3 year, 2 year, 1 year, and 6 month plans as well.
(Click this HG link), which opens in a new tab and use discount code – BLOGGER100 for $0.01 hosting for 1 month or enter WPBLOGGER25 for 25% off hosting. I recommend the Baby Plan, which is the plan I chose because you will be able to hold unlimited domains. I have had over 15 domains and more than 300,000 daily visitors all on one hosting plan without a problem.
If you use the 25% discount code and you choose the Baby plan here is the cost.
Month to month – $8.96
6 months – $8.96
12 months – $8.96
24 months $8.21
36 months – $7.46
$8.96 is a great monthly plan for all that you’re getting with HostGator.
Site5 has been around since 2008 and it is another hosting provider that allows for monthly billing. The thing about Site5 is that it is more expensive than HostGator, it is less popular, it has less features, and it does not perform better than HG. If you want month to month pricing it is going to cost you $10.95/mo or $13.95/mo, depending on the plan that you choose.
eHost is another awesome company. eHost has been extremely good to me and I have heard nothing but good things about them. The reviews are phenomenal. Sites hosted with eHost boast a load speed of around 450ms which is awesome and they guarantee a 99.99% uptime. eHost wins when it comes to price. Click here to host with eHost for only 7 dollars a month. Another good thing about eHost is that they also give you a free domain name. If you want a slightly better price with great hosting performance, then start with eHost.
GoDaddy is yet another company that offers you monthly billing, but GD is a domain registrar, it’s never good to get hosting from a domain registrar because it was not built for hosting.
Inmotion offers great hosting, but the only way that you can get monthly hosting with them is if you choose their Pro plan, but with their Pro plan it is going to cost you $17.99/mo plus a $40 setup fee. This price is way too expensive.
WP Engine has over 30,00 customers and they provide best-in-class customer service on top of innovation-driven technology. Their goal is to make your site 2x -4x faster. They cost 30 dollars a month. Are they worth it? Yes, but if you are new to blogging or if you are expecting a small amount of daily visitors, then you don’t need WP Engine. WP Engine is for those who are already generating good traffic and make money with their blog. Click here for WP Engine discount codes.
Justhost is run by the same company as HostGator, which is Endurance International Group. They actually have a cheap 36 month plan where you only pay $2.95 a month with this link. Their monthly plan is going to cost you 8 dollars a month so I wouldn’t pay monthly with them. They don’t offer the performance that HG has to offer and they don’t offer the price that Arvixe has to offer. Check out Justhost if you want 36/mo hosting for $2.95.
Dreamhost is one of the oldest hosting companies. Dreamhost has great performance, but the thing that I don’t like about Dreamhost is that they do not offer any phone support. They don’t have the cheapest price, but the price is manageable. Their month to month plan is going to cost you $10.95 each month.
DigitalOcean is VPS. The problem with DigitalOcean is that it is unmanaged VPS. That means you have to set up everything. You have to manage your own servers, you have to set up security, etc. DigitalOcean is better fit for developers so if you are a beginner, then you should not be using DO. DigitalOcean only costs $5 dollars a month, but when you click this link you will get a 10 dollar credit.
Now that you know some companies that allow for monthly billing, I strongly recommend that you choose one of these two hosting providers today.
1. HostGator is good, but I believe eHost is the top choice when it comes to month to month hosting. If you want a better price with good performance, then host with eHost. They are a great hosting company. They give you a free domain, you have a 45 day money back guarantee for assurance, and it will only cost you 7 dollars a month. Start with eHost today.
2. My second option will be to choose SiteGround. Why SiteGround you ask? Although SiteGround might not offer monthly hosting the price is so cheap. Unlike other yearly hosting companies you don’t have to pay 36 months in advance.
You only pay one year and at $3.95 a month it only comes up to $47 and this includes a free domain for life. A few months down the road you will be paying less and you have a better hosting company. SiteGround displays their monthly uptime which is 99.99%, they automatically install WP for you, they have a 300ms load response time, and they have the highest customer satisfaction rating of all hosting companies. Check out SiteGround.
Once again if you want monthly web hosting only, then start with eHost today.
If you want the best and overall cheaper hosting, then start SiteGround at 60% off.
