In this review I will be comparing Verio vs GoDaddy to find the better web hosting company. I will also be comparing these two companies with SiteGround, which is the highest rated host in 2016. I believe this debate is laughable and there is only one real choice which you will see below.
Verio’s basic plan offers you a free personalized domain name for $17.99. This is more expensive than most domain registrars. Verio’s enhanced plan, which is for $20 a month gives you a free domain for a year. GoDaddy is a superb place to purchase your domains. Unlike Verio, GoDaddy and SiteGround both offer free domains.
Verio uses their own control panel so if you are used to using cPanel you will be disappointed. GoDaddy and SiteGround on the other hand both use cPanel. cPanel is the most popular and user-friendly control panel in the world. I personally wouldn’t be caught dead without it. Some of the features include special offers, billing system, backups, webalizer, awstats, hotlink protection, ftp accounts, email accounts, and more.
Let’s check out the different uptimes to see which has the best uptime. A higher uptime means happier visitors, higher rankings, more sales, more success, etc.
On average GoDaddy has an uptime of 99.94%. Verio offers slightly better uptime for your website. On average Verio has an uptime of 99.96% – 99.99%. One benefit of using SiteGround is that SG displays their uptime on their website. They currently have a 99.99% uptime. SiteGround gives you the best performance for your website or blog.
GoDaddy easily wins the battle of the prices vs Verio. Verio does not offer the cheapest web hosting and in fact it can be very expensive to most. Verio is going to cost you $11 a month. You also have an option to choose their 24 month price which brings the price down to $10 a month.
GD has several plans that you are able to choose from. Choose the one that best fits your budget. GoDaddy does have a $3.99 a month plan, but that plan is only cheap if you purchase hosting for 3 years. Here are the rest of their plans! 24 month plan – 4.49 a month; 12 month plan – $4.99 a month; 1 month – $6.99 a month.
SiteGround offers premium hosting for $3.95 a month. Immediately we see that SG is better when it comes to pricing.
Customer reviews truly do matter. It lets you know how people are doing with a certain hosting company. Verio has terrible reviews all over the web. Customers are just not satisfied. GoDaddy on the other hand has mixed reviews.
If you wanted to pick the hosting company with a higher customer satisfaction rating, then it would be GoDaddy, but compared to SiteGround, they are nothing. Of all the hosts I reviewed SiteGround hosting has the highest customer satisfaction rating.
Out of 800+ reviews they have a 4.7 star rating out of 5 stars. This is amazing! Compared to the other two hosts they blow them out of the park!

When it comes to technical support you will find that all three companies are identical. As a person who has many blogs I will never choose a company that does not offer any phone support.
You never know when you are going to need to call your hosting company. You always have to be prepared. All three companies offer 24/7 phone support, ticket support, and live chat support. In case of emergency, you will have no problem with getting help for your website.
The choice is very easy. Verio lacks to GoDaddy in most areas except uptime. GoDaddy is a top of the line domain registrar that offers hosting. If you want hosting, then choose an official hosting company.
No one goes to a boat expert looking for motorcycle advice! Both companies have many drawbacks. I don’t know of any top bloggers using either, but I do know many top bloggers who use SiteGround. I added SiteGround to show that it is the clear choice. It was built for premium hosting!
It is more rich in features, it offers easier WordPress setup, it is cheaper for you, you get a 60% discount with this link, you get a free domain for life, you get higher uptime, you get a site with 300ms load speed, which is faster than both companies. There is no other option. Below I will show you how to setup now so you can start building your online presence.
